Sunset Farm Kitchen has been set up by Katherine Bench, who has spent the last 15 years cooking for people. Katherine ran a guesthouse for 7 years where she cooked a variety of breakfasts, as well as private dining for approx' 24 people. This is where she developed a passion for simply cooked tasty food.

For 9 years Katherine ran The Pie Shack, originally run from her home kitchen, she specialised in handmade pies, making the pastry and fillings from scratch. The business soon grew, taking on premises and becoming a well-loved part of her town's community, even winning two National Awards for her pies!

Now, the next step is to take her cooking on the road with Sunset Farm Kitchen van, focussing on traditional farm house cooking. The van has sites throughout North Devon as well as catering for events and private bookings.

Katherine has a love of simply cooked traditional food, using quality ingredients. Using her Grandmother's cookery books and recipes for inspiration, wherever possible Katherine uses ingredients sourced direct from the farm or producer, allowing her to take basic ingredients and turn them into something delicious... food that makes you happy!
